Job Description:  Plans and implements special education programs in which all disciplines are involved in each individual child's program, and as a team assesses, plans, and carries out objectives in all skill areas as outlined on the IEP.  Provides all children with developmentally appropriate preschool experiences that will maximize their skill development in all areas consisten with the High/Scope approach.  Supervises Teacher Assistant/Aide(s), 1:1/1:2 teacher aides and foster grandparent in the classroom including verifying biweekly timesheets.  Establishes and maintains good rapport with parent(s)/guardians, and is responsive to their suggestions and concerns on an ongoing basis.

Minimum Requirements:  Two years of college in a human services field preferably in subjects related to early childhood development.

Desired Skills:  A four year degree and/or teacher certification desired.  Experience with preschool children with special needs preferred; some lifting may be required.

Work Schedule:  Flexible based upon program need.
